Lessons →New Ramat Aviv (Ramat Aviv HaHadasha) is the newest of the Ramat Aviv neighbourhoods: building started in 1996, and construction and move-ins only wrapped up in early 2016. It sits between Namir Road to the east and Levi Eshkol Boulevard to the west, from Einstein Street in the south to Profes Street in the north – and unlike its older neighbours, it's all apartment buildings, with no private houses at all.
There's an elementary school ("Aviv") and two shopping centres with a supermarket, cafés and restaurants, while for health and welfare services the neighbourhood leans on its neighbours, Lamed and Ramat Aviv Gimel. In other words, if you live here you already know the way to Ramat Aviv Gimel – and a music lesson is simply one more familiar stop in the same direction.
An apartment is a brilliant place to write songs. A laptop, headphones, a small keyboard or an acoustic guitar, and you can chase an idea at two in the morning without a single neighbour noticing. That's exactly why songwriting and keys are such a natural fit for people who live here.
Drums are a different story. An acoustic kit in the living room is not a great idea in a residential building – but that doesn't mean giving up. Plenty of drummers who live in flats use a two-track approach: a practice pad or an electronic kit with headphones at home, and a real kit at our school, at full volume, with a teacher listening to every stroke.

Bring a ten-second idea – we'll build a verse and a chorus from it.
In New Ramat Aviv the question is less "which instrument?" and more "what's the goal?". Here's how some common goals translate into lessons:
| Your goal | Where to start | What lessons cover |
|---|---|---|
| Write your own song | Keys or guitar, plus vocals | Chords, progressions, song structure and work on a song you bring in |
| Drum in a band | Drums | Groove, timing against a metronome, fills and reading rhythms |
| Sing the songs you've written | Vocals | Breathing, range, style and singing into a microphone |
| Hold down the groove in a band | Bass guitar | Locking in with the drummer, bass lines and your role in the band |
If you drum on the steering wheel at every red light, try drum lessons for New Ramat Aviv residents – from your first groove to the fills and transitions that hold a band together. Already writing, or want to start? Keys and piano for songwriters in New Ramat Aviv give you the harmonic toolkit: how chords are built, why a progression "works" and how to accompany yourself.
A song isn't finished when it's written. In vocal coaching for young adults between Namir and Levi Eshkol you work on the voice that will deliver it – including singing into a mic. And if you'd like to be the glue between the drums and the harmony, give bass guitar lessons for New Ramat Aviv players a go.
What about the younger ones at home? Kids from age 6 can start piano, guitar or drums with us, in short, focused lessons designed for their age. That way the whole household heads to the same music school, each with their own goal – a parent with the song they're writing, a teenager with a band, and the youngest with their first tune on the keys.
Our school is in Ramat Aviv Gimel, east of you across Namir Road – a short drive. Here's how you get started:
Want to start today? Read our guide on how to write your first song, and for timing practice at home, try our free tools for musicians – a metronome, a tuner and more. Neighbours to the north have their own page on music lessons for Azorei Chen residents, and those just south of Einstein on music lessons in the Lamed neighbourhood. For the bigger picture, see instrument and singing lessons across North Tel Aviv.
Yes, through your instrument. In keys, guitar and vocal lessons you can bring in the song you're writing and work on chords, structure, melody and performance with your teacher. Mention it at your trial lesson and your teacher will build the plan around it.
Practise at home on a pad or an electronic kit with headphones, and play a real acoustic kit in your lessons at our Ramat Aviv Gimel school. That way you make progress without falling out with the neighbours.
Tell us in the form when you're free, and we'll check which teachers are available at those times. Rockstar teaches teens and adults, and we know your week doesn't end at three in the afternoon.
