Lessons →Azorei Chen is a compact neighbourhood in north-west Tel Aviv, part of Tzukei Aviv, lying between Namir Road to the east and the road that leads down to Cliff Beach (Hof HaTzuk) to the west. Most of it was built in the 1990s: eight buildings arranged in a spiral, seven of them named after the Seven Species – the Olive House, the Date House, the Pomegranate House and the rest – and an eighth, the last to go up, called the Orange House.
If you live here you know the rhythm: the ornamental garden in the middle with its old sycamore trees, the small shopping centre with its cafés and grocery store, the country club, and just north of the neighbourhood, Tichonet Alterman high school, which opened in 2012. Nearly everything a family needs is walkable, and the day gets split between school runs, after-school activities, work and everything else.
In a home with kids and teenagers, the question isn't only "which instrument?" but "how does it fit into the week?". That's where Azorei Chen is unusually well placed: our school in Ramat Aviv Gimel is on the other side of Namir Road, so getting to a lesson is quick, and you can plan an afternoon around one or two lessons without losing the whole evening.
There's something else many parents only discover once their child has started: it's far easier to keep practising when someone else in the house plays too. A parent who learns piano or guitar alongside their son or daughter stops being just the driver – they become a practice partner, and sometimes the other half of the first living-room duet.

A lesson for your teen, one for you – and a jam together after dinner.
One household, three very different kinds of students. Here's how we approach each of them:
Played years ago, or always wanted to? One weekly lesson and 15–20 minutes of practice a day is enough to make real progress. We start with songs you love, not dry exercises.
Electric guitar, drums, vocals or bass, and later a band. A clear goal – a song for a gig, a recording, an ensemble – is what keeps motivation alive through the matriculation-exam years.
Small steps, lots of wins and songs they recognise. At the trial lesson we'll work out which instrument suits their age, hands and personality.
Parents coming back to music after a long break can start with piano lessons for parents in Azorei Chen – an instrument that lets you play a whole song with both hands quite early on. If you'd rather have something you can take on holiday or play on the balcony, look at guitar lessons for teens and adults in Tzukei Aviv.
For the teenager who drums on every table in the flat, there are drum lessons a short hop from Azorei Chen, in a properly equipped drum room where you can actually play at full volume. And if you mostly sing in the shower and the car, try singing lessons for adults and teens near Azorei Chen – breathing, range and confidence in front of an audience.
